I started Ryan out as a raging alcoholic, he was meant to be shit at everything because of it. I was going to have him robbing people for their cash to drink more, instead, he met people that encouraged his drinking habit. Yay.

I've played two SINners, it's really good.
Jace Evans, Doctor of Thaumaturgy, Magical Theory and Chemistry. Got caught with some books he shouldn't have had and was being sued by the college, students and a bunch of parents of students for supposedly teaching them 'Evil Magic', was shipped out to Seattle, from Boston, for protection.
And Spider. He was a stage magician, fell in love and thought he could rumble with the big guns. Annika, the woman he fell for, blew his face off with a shotgun.
I tend to make characters, give them a single, small driving goal and see what happens from there. Along the lines of:
A burger flipper who just turned 18 and decided to have a drink in Hoolies.
A bank employee who was fired for looking into all those accounts that have massive deposit and withdrawl amounts, all done right before a spat of runs around the city.
Also- The LS don't tolerate open corruption. Being part of the Highway Patrol would be seen as "You've done something wrong, we can't fire you, so we're moving you somewhere you can't do anything,"
I think we need Highway Patrol cops.
